About BlockFact
BlockFact is provenance infrastructure for real media — proving that photo, audio, video and streaming content is captured on a genuine device, at a given time and place, and unaltered since. We build open, standards-based formats and work inside the bodies defining media authenticity.
Founders

Egbert von Frankenberg
Founder & CEO
Egbert von Frankenberg is the founder and CEO of BlockFact and the architect of its core technology — the on-device zero-knowledge proof, invisible watermark and on-chain registration pipeline that attests media at the point and moment of capture. He is the named inventor on BlockFact's patent portfolio spanning on-device provenance, hardware-level attestation, live-stream registration and format-level methods, and the registrant of the company's IANA media types for photo, audio, video and live streams. He represents BlockFact inside the standards bodies defining media authenticity — a contributing member of C2PA and an active participant in SMPTE's media-provenance work and the Creator Assertions Working Group at DIF — carrying BlockFact's formats into the specifications the industry is building on.
